Welcome to Manhasset Bay Race Week: Home of Good Starts, and Great Stories.

Following a strong history of yachting in the Cow Bay community, we are pleased to present a new and improved RACE WEEK.

Race Week at MBYC consists of 4 days of incredible sailing:

Wednesday: Women's Annual Race (WAR)

Every year, MBYC offers on opportunity for Ladies from all over to compete against each other in the absence of pesky husbands!
Racing takes place on Wednesday evening followed by Oysters and Rosé with a beautiful sunset backdrop over the harbor.

Friday Night: City Skyline Run

Friday nights skyline run highlights the beauty of our local harbor, with the backdrop of Manhattan as you exit the harbor.
This event is a PHRF (for all boats) event that pits boats as big as J/44s against old warships like the Manhasset Bay One Design in an effort to provide a proving ground for all boats to cut their teeth against boats of all walks.
The event starts at the Worry Wart and features a navigator course that snakes its way around all the way into Little Neck Bay.

Saturday and Sunday: Windward Leeward

True to the original form of Race Week, sailing in tight and action-packed racing, our race committee shows the heritage of one design racing steeped at this club by providing the characteristic long leged events beloved by this club. What has always set the racing here apart has been long and tactical legs that give skippers opportunity after opportunity to duke it out in close quarters action.
