While the Sonar fleet was formerly one of the strongest sailing fleets within Manhasset Bay and the surrounding Cow Bay penensula, Sonar Fleet 11 opted to disband in 2024.

 Sonar Fleet Summer Racing Scoring
With the backbone of the J/70 class laying at The US Merchant Maritime Academy at Kings Point, the fleet is strong, but concentrated at our friendly neighbors across the harbor.

J/70 Fleet Summer Scoring
Designed in 1945 and taking their podium from the B-O Dinghy, the scrappy and agile InterClub Dinghies present a challenge to their skippers. These boats sail exclusively during the winter with a rare opportunity to sail during the summer. Some call the skippers crazy, some call them wreckless, but most just call them cold.

All but the Interclub Dinghies of this list race continue in Cow Bay Racing over the summer.
Cow Bay Racing association is proud to announce the beginning of the summer racing series.
