Manhasset Bay Yacht Club, located on the western end of long island sound, hosts a rich history of sailing and cruising throughout long island sound and much of the world.With names Like Infinity, Sagola, Little Dipper, and Ping! gracing the annums of the YRA of LIS and further away's history. This club has a love of racing and the water.Cruisers at this club routinely sail as far as Nantucket and onward flying our burgee near and far.

Hosted by Cow Bay Cruising Association, Thursday night buoy racing in this bay hosts boats from 60ft all the way down to 20 racing from May until October annually.
And of course, with it being Thirsty Thursday, libations at the club (post racing) are a must. Special dinner is served at the club each thursday night for sailors that race. Just ask for a Thirsty Thursday menu!
Friday Night Men's sailing
On fridays, members of the men's Ideal 18 program proudly sail in lighthearted and fun racing (Usually unscored) to promote newer sailors coming out and giving it a try.
Fleet Captain Ed Bonnie organizes and leads the charge to bring a fun filled evening to with comraderie and entertainement for this group.
Hosted by Cow Bay Racing Association, Saturday and Sunday afternoon feature fantastic sailing from Manhasset Bay One-Design (MBOD), Ideal 18, and PHRF Fleets. Fleets each sail for season long titles to hone their skills and vie for historic pickle dishes in action packed weekend racing.
MBYC Clinics and Seminars
Saturday mornings at MBYC feature a complementary continental breakfast and coffee at our dock bar along with a short educational clinic over a specific sailing skill every saturday at 10:00 AM sharp. Sailors from the experienced offshore and world championship levels all the way to the most fresh to the sport can expect to walk away with something new every saturday. After clinic, sailors go out on the water with experienced skippers from the club as well as the sailing director to hone the freshly learned skills!

MBYC also offers a host of educational seminars and and clinics throughout the year to keep sailors engaged. Regular rules seminars, tactics seminars, and boat speed/trim seminars keep sailors on their toes.
