Junior Sailing campers can choose between Sailing Only or Sailing & Sports:
Sailing only camp is an engaging and informative opportunity tailored for children interested in mastering the art of sailing. This program provides a secure and encouraging setting for juniors to enhance their sailing abilities and knowledge. Participants will be taught the fundamentals of sailing, including boat handling, racing strategies, and safety protocols. By combining practical experience and instruction, juniors will establish a strong sailing foundation that can be applied to competitive racing or leisurely sailing. Alongside skill development, the program also emphasizes values such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and a passion for the water. Overall, the sailing only program presents an exceptional chance for young sailors to build self-assurance, foster lifelong friendships, and enjoy themselves on the water.
Sailing & Sports camp is a well-structured and dynamic initiative aimed at introducing children to various sports activities in a fun and supportive environment. This program generally focuses on promoting physical fitness, skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The program offers a range of sports allowing children to explore and discover their interests and talents. Under the guidance of experienced and qualified coaches, these programs strive to foster the love for sports and create a solid foundation for juniors to advance their skills and potentially pursue competitive sports in the future.
Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious lunch daily for $50 per week (plus tax). You may choose this option on the registration form or plan to pack a lunch for your child each day instead. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. Please note that we are a "nut free" camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us. Snacks are provided daily to campers, at no additional cost.
Excellent Experienced Staff
Our staff holds CPR, First Aid and are AED Certified. They are a blend of experienced certified teachers, coaches, college students and mature high school students. We provide lifeguards and WSIs during swim according to Nassau County Health Department regulations. Our retention rate for staff is over 75%, offering a high staff-to-child ration in this industry.
