Website and Mobile App Privacy Policy

Manhasset Bay Yacht Club, a New York not-for-profit corporation (“MBYC,” “us,” “we,” or “our”) operates the website located at www.manhassetbayyc.org and the Manhasset Bay Yacht Club Mobile App mobile application (the “Service”).  MBYC values and respects its members’ privacy.  This privacy policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
We use your data to provide and improve the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Personal Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

Depending on the functions of the Service you use, we may also collect information concerning your dining reservations at MBYC and/or your reservations and usage of MBYC equipment, activities and services including, without limitation, club owned boats, tennis, paddle, and trap shooting.
We may use your Personal Data to contact you with newsletters, MBYC announcements or information or other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send or by contacting us.

Usage Data

In addition, the Service may also automatically collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device (“Usage Data”).
This Usage Data may include information such as your computer's Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

Manhasset Bay Yacht Club will use appropriate and reasonable physical, technical and procedural safeguards to secure the personal information we collect from you.   No transfer of your Personal Data collected through the website or mobile app will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

Disclosure of Data

Disclosure for Law Enforcement

Under certain circumstances, Manhasset Bay Yacht Club may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency).

Manhasset Bay Yacht Club may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary:

"Do Not Track" Signals

We do not support Do Not Track ("DNT"). Do Not Track is a preference you can set in your web browser to inform websites that you do not want to be tracked.

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), to provide the Service or parts of the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

We may use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyze the use of our Service.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analytics service offered by Google that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data collected to track and monitor the use of our Service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.
You can opt-out of having made your activity on the Service available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.

Links to Other Sites

Our Service may from time to time contain links to other sites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you will be directed to that third party’s site.  Information shared on third party’s site will be subject to that third party’s privacy policy.  We strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of every site you visit.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.

Social Media Features
The Service may offer the ability to interact with certain social media websites and/or apps (e.g., Facebook, Twitter).  If you make use of any social media features offered by the Service we may access information about you via that social media provider in accordance with its policies.  When using a social media feature, we may access information such as your name, picture, gender, birthday and any other information you have chosen to make available.  Depending on the privacy settings of you and your social media friends and contacts, we may access information that you provide to a social media provider regarding your respective locations to provide you with relevant content.  Please note that your location data may be shared with your friends or contacts on a social media provider in accordance with your privacy settings for that social media provider.  We may also access information from social media providers about your use of features of that social media’s website or mobile app.

Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for, and does not address concerns relevant to, anyone under the age of 13 (“Children”).  Children should not be permitted to use the website or the mobile app.
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13.  If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.  If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page but will not otherwise advise you of changes.  Once changes are posted your use of the website or mobile app will be subject to the revised Privacy Policy.  We encourage you to check the Privacy Policy periodically.  You can tell if it has changed by checking the revision date that appears at the beginning of the policy.

Your Consent
By using the website or the Mobile App you are consenting to our use and processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us.  “Processing” means using cookies on a computer/hand held device or using or touching information in any way, including, without limitation, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information, all of which activities will take place in the United States.  If you reside outside the United States or use the Service from outside the United States our information will be transferred, processed and stored in the United States under United States privacy standards.
